Specific Challenges

One crucial element in developing the online presence of Johnny Cash Trail was balancing the focus between the legendary Johnny Cash, and the Trail itself. Most of the site is about the trail, the art, and the artists. However, it was necessary to connect Cash’s history in the area and a bit about who he was. We shared his life, his family, and music in such a way, that it’s clear to the reader why the City of Folsom has such a connection to the Man in Black.

In order to keep the story of the trail compelling, we included videos that tell the story of the artwork and artists featured on the trail. A trail map and art renderings are also displayed throughout the site.

The Johnny Cash section features engaging experiences offered through full screen historical photos, user friendly scrolling effects, and a Spotify playlist.
